I was a little bit nervous about trying this product when it arrived. I decided I would commit to trying it for one full cycle before deciding I did or didn’t like it. It took a little bit of getting used to (mostly inserting it and taking it out felt a little bit awkward/messy at first), but now I can say it with 100% confidence that I love my new flex reusable disc. Tampons were uncomfortable and annoying for me and I had anxiety about leaking through my underwear all the time. The first few days of my period were heavy, and the next few were super light which made it not the easiest to manage. Now that I use flex, I only have to think about my period for less than 5 mins a day — when I wake up, and before I go to bed. This has transformed my relationship with my period and I am excited to not have my period affect my week anymore. I will never go back to using tampons. I only wish I started using flex sooner.

I am someone who has never used any internal products. Never used a tampon or cup in my life. For over a decade it’s been strictly pads for me. I decided to be brave and try the Flex discs because I am so tired of not being able to comfortably swim or be intimate on my period. And also, as a lifetime pad user even I can admit they get really uncomfortable, really fast. Not to be dramatic, but the Flex discs changed my life. Once it is in you cannot feel it AT ALL, you honestly forget you’re on your period. The process of getting it in and taking it out is easy if you’re comfortable with your body (though I am still trying to find a way to make the removal less messy). I took a break from the disc and put on a pad for a day, and it was awful. The familiar but unpleasant wet and irritating sensation was giving me the ick, and I had awful cramps that were not present at all with the disc in. I will never go back. If you’re nervous to try, please just give it a shot. You won’t regret it. If I can do it, so can you.
